George Eliot 200th Birth Anniversary - 80p Sheet of Ten
Eliot describes the Island’s inland walks as ‘inexhaustible’. Eliot wrote of her first walk: “The first lovely walk we found inland was the Queen’s Farm Valley, where a broad strip of meadow and pasture lies between two high slopes covered with woods and ferny wildness”. The stamp sheets give the discerning collector access to all the printer's marks and any additional information on the selvedges.
