Jersey Festive Scenes - 46p Sheet of Ten
£4.60
The 46p stamp portrays Le Don Hilton and festive foliage, including holly and pine cones. Also known as La Caumine à Marie Best or, more familiarly, 'the white house', Le Don Hilton is a little whitewashed cottage found on the seawall at St. Ouen in the west of the Island. An 18th century guard house and powder magazine, it is now owned by the National Trust for Jersey. This area is known for its spectacular winter sunsets and impressive waves can often be seen crashing over the seawall.
The stamp sheets give the discerning collector access to all the printer's marks and any additional information on the selvedges.
