To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Jersey Post have specially commissioned an illustration by esteemed aviation artist Adam Tooby. Amongst his accolades, Adam is the official artist for the iconic Airfix model kit packaging and also illustrated Jersey Post's 2018 '100 Years of the RAF' stamp issue.

The bespoke artwork depicts Supermarine Spitfire Mk1a EB-G N3162 flown by Pilot Officer Eric Stanley 'Sawn-Off Lockie' Lock, No. 41 Squadron RAF flying out of Hornchurch, Essex, engaging Junkers Ju88 A-1s of Stab II./KG 30 Adler-Geschwader, 6th September 1940.

With an exclusive issue of only twenty prints, each one is reproduced on archival quality 280gsm fine art paper and personally signed and numbered by the artist. Featuring a caption detailing the action, the art print itself is pre-mounted within an aperture mount featuring the special date stamp commemorating the 80th Anniversary and the issue date of 15th September 2020.
