The Apollo 11 lunar mission, conducted by the United States of America between the 16th July and 24th July 1969, was a globally viewed event culminating in man’s first landing on the surface of the Moon on 20th July. This event was reported on and watched on TV by a worldwide audience of over half a billion people.

To commemorate this global event Jersey Post issued six stamps and a miniature sheet.
