Formula One is the highest class of international auto racing for single-seater formula racing cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. Originally called Formula A, the first race to approved Formula One rules was a Grand Prix race held at Valentino Park, Turin, Italy, in 1946. In celebration of the Formula One World Championships, we have issued a total of 10 stamps, over a two-part series featuring ten of the top British Formula One champions.
Part Two is made up of five stamps, a miniature sheet and a souvenir sheetlet showcasing five British world champions. The five stamps feature Graham Hill, John Surtees, James Hunt, Nigel Mansell and Lewis Hamilton. The miniature sheet features Jim Clark.
