Released on 28 June 2023, the collection captures 70 years of royal service and six memorable moments from her visits to the island, using evocative archival photography.
This tribute reflects the strong bond between Jersey and the British Crown, a relationship that Queen Elizabeth II described in 2001 as “ties that happily seem to grow ever stronger.”
Royal Moments Captured in Time
Each stamp highlights a distinct royal visit, marking milestones in both Jersey’s history and the monarch’s enduring legacy:
- 1949 – Princess Elizabeth receives flowers from schoolgirl Sylvia Layzell on her first visit.
- 1957 – A display of Jersey cattle welcomes The Queen and Prince Philip.
- 1978 – Arrival by Royal Barge from HMY Britannia following the Silver Jubilee.
- 1989 – Visit to Howard Davis Farm with a surprise encounter with Bergerac star John Nettles.
- 2001 – Official opening of the new Jersey College for Girls complex.
- 2005 – Participation in Jersey’s 60th Liberation Day, meeting island dignitaries.
